Reliable high-voltage electricity in the South Kymenlaakso region

Kaakon Alueverkko was established in the beginning of 2016, when the founding companies’ 110-kV networks and the 110 kilometres of high-voltage network purchased from Fingrid Oy were transferred as the company’s network assets. The ownership of Kaakon Alueverkko Oy is divided equally between Kymenlaakson Sähköverkko and Haminan Energia.

Owners

Kymenlaakson Sähköverkko Oy is part of the Kymenlaakson Sähkö Group. The company supplies electricity to homes and businesses in four provinces in the Kymenlaakso, Southern Karelia, Päijät-Häme and Uusimaa regions. The length of the electricity grid is approximately 13,000 kilometres, and the company invests in its continuous development to ensure reliable energy delivery for all customers.

Haminan Energia Oy is a wholly-owned energy company of the city of Hamina, and the company supplies electricity, natural gas and district heat, as well as broadband network services to meet the needs of consumer customers and industry in the Hamina region. The company also delivers process-industry energy commodities to the Hamina port industry.
